Power Steering

Virtually all vehicles built today use POWER STEERING.

This system typically includes a pump, power steering fluid, pressure hose assembly, control valve and a return line.

The best way to maintain the POWER STEERING system is to regularly check the power steering fluid level, as well as the condition of the power steering pump. A worn pump not only operates inefficiently, it can also contaminate the steering hydraulics with metal particles causing damage to other components in the system.

Contact us if your car shows any of the following symptoms:

  • Hard steering
  • Heavy or unresponsive steering at low speeds
  • Unusual noise when turning the steering wheel
  • Shaking in the steering wheel
  • Steering wheel not returning to the "centre" properly
  • Fluid leaking from under vehicle
